About

Analyst and developer, self-taught

I'm Vladislav Kovnerov. I work as a data analyst at HEALBE and founded Traecta. I build dashboards, Telegram bots, and web products.

The path here

For about ten years I was the one-person IT of a state hospital. I started at Klimovsk Central City Hospital and moved with the reorganization into Podolsk Regional Clinical Hospital. I wired the network from nothing, ran roughly sixty computers and a couple of servers, prepped tenders, trained doctors on medical systems, and unjammed printers.

While still there I started automating. A pipeline in Python and Airflow pulled and analyzed the hospital's metrics for the regional Ministry of Health rating. Where there was no data-warehouse access, I scraped with Selenium. Dashboards landed in Google Sheets, alerts in Telegram. The code is public at github.com/DragonSigh/pokb-airflow.

The switch came from a webinar that predicted the bitcoin price in about ten lines of Python. It looked simple enough to try. I took one Data Science in Medicine course and found I liked analytics and visualization more than the heavy-math side. DataCamp, Google, and GeekBrains filled in the rest.

Since March 2024 I've been a data analyst at HEALBE, on the Customer Experience team: retention, churn, NPS. In parallel I founded Traecta, an app that turns scattered learning into a clear roadmap.

What I do

I work as an analyst and as a developer. On the analyst side: dashboards, retention and churn, SQL, Python, and the boring discipline of checking whether a number is real before acting on it. On the developer side: websites and Telegram bots I build and ship. Earlier I took websites by word of mouth and sold programs, mockups, and stock photos on Envato under the name DragonSigh.
